Sydney, Australia suburbs hit with blackouts due to wind and solar | Eastern NC Now

wind and solar cannot keep the lights on

While blackout warnings from the inadequacy of electric supply from wind and solar have been issued for much of the US this summer, Australia has just been hit with such a blackout, impacting the suburbs around the city of Sydney

Here is what happened with wind energy production:

Several years ago, the entire state of South Australia suffered a statewide blackout when strong Spring storms caused many wind turbines to automatically shut down.  Since South Asutralia under the Lavbour Party shut down its coal fired power plants and used wind and solar for 50% of their power, rolling blackouts have become so common that having one's own generator has become almost a necessity.  Millioins of electric customers last year in the UK suffered a total blackout when a major offshore wind farm suddenly went offline.  As more reliance is put on wind and solar, these things happen more often.

Here in North Carolina, the RINO leadership of the legislature set the stage for this to happen in our state by passing NC's radical Green New Deal, HB951.
