Don't let MAGA lose its way! | Eastern North Carolina Now

Mo Brooks (Morris Jackson Brooks, Jr., U.S. Representative for Alabama's 5th Congressional District which encompasses Huntsville and the northern fifth of the state) was a recent guest on The Todd Starnes radio show.  While there is much to be admired about Mo Brooks, he said something that really disgusted me.  He railed against President Trump's having rejected him as a MAGA, America First candidate in his contest to be reelected; he insisted that the reason is that President Trump has "no loyalty to MAGA and is only in it for himself."

Can that be true?  No.  It is not.

Do you remember when President Trump held a rally and Mo Brooks was invited to speak?  Do you remember that Mo Brooks took that occasion to opine that "we should put the 2020 election behind us?"  How do you think President Trump received that bombshell?  Placidly?  I don't think so.  It's not in his nature, but there's more.  Much more.  Let's look at it, shall we?

Why are we having to deal with inflation on steroids, a tidal wave of illegal aliens invading our southern border, a crime wave in our cities that goes unabated, a return to energy that's dependent on the good will of our enemies, gay pride MONTH with obscene parades in our streets (which children attend), the loss of buying power of our money, no baby formula in our stores, gender fluidity in our schools, rumors of more control attempts by the alphabet soup agencies within the executive branch, and all the rest?

We're having to deal with those things and more because the 2020 election was stolen!  Pure and simple.  (Well, not exactly "pure," more like "pure evil.")  Those abominations are a direct result of the current illegal administration's policies.  Policies that are specifically intended to reduce us to a third world country.  If you and I can see that, do you think President Trump has failed to see it?  Nope, I don't either.

All the horrors we're suffering through can be thrown off again by honest elections.  What'll it take to get them?  I think it's going to take good candidates (which President Trump is also working on), consequences for those who cheated in 2020 (including significant consequences for the "head honchos"), and steps to eliminate the many, many ways opportunities to cheat were increased dramatically by illegal means (the state legislatures which are required to make any changes to election law were not involved) immediately before and sometimes during the 2020 election.

Why is punishment for the 2020 debacle so necessary?  It's necessary because by fraud, the left won so much progress toward their goal of pushing us down into the dark hole of a world dominated by a "one world government" of "elites" in which they are the rulers and we are their serfs that nothing short of punishment will deter them.  Pass a "no drop box" law?  Drop boxes will be used anyway.  Pass a "no absentee votes without a good excuse and a request for one" law?  Masses of absentee ballots will be mailed out (more than one to the same address, etc.) anyway.

Yes, we need new laws and new safeguards in place in order to clean up future elections, but to really do the job, we need to imprison the people who made a mockery of our 2020 election!

I can just hear the skeptics saying, "Fat chance."  However, if we think like that, we will fail, and failure is not an option unless we're willing to grovel in the dirt for the rest of our lives, doing as we're told (take that jab, wear that mask, stay in your residence/do not go outdoors), and settling for a bare existence, not to mention dooming our decedents to the same fate.

Are you willing to do that?  I'm not either!  Neither, I'm sure, is President Trump!!!

Give those uplifting rallies, Mr. President!!!  How does he manage to illuminate what's gone wrong and lift our spirits in the same speech???  He is leading in an impossible environment.  My hat is off to him.  He's working to get good MAGA, America First people elected.  They will cooperate with him in 2024, and my guess is that he will figure out a way to give the ones who get elected some guidance between 2020 and 2024.  That way, legislation making a good start can be passed immediately, including legislation which will enable President Trump to continue draining the swamp (the ability to fire any employee in the executive branch, for example -- think FBI, Department of in-Justice)  beginning in 2024, so that, finally, the job is actually done!

In the meantime, what can you and I do to help?  In North Carolina, the North Carolina Election Integrity Team (NCEIT) headed by James Womack is working on cleaning up future elections by approaching it from 8 different directions and developing teams to work on those issues.  Check it out, and consider volunteering.  Most states have similar organizations.  Many local, statewide, and national organizations are helping, and they seem to be developing as a force for good.  They need all the help they can get; they've chosen to tackle a monumental job.  Will you put your oar in?
