    Mrs. Christina "Crissy" Hayden McDaniel Long, age 53, a resident of Washington, NC died Saturday, July 9, 2022, at her home.

    A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

    Crissy was born in Davie County on December 9, 1968, daughter of the late Haywood Dutch and Edna Joyce McDaniel Dutch. She was a 1987 graduate of East Rowan High School, where she was a former Miss Rowan County. She continued her education at Appalachian State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology. On April 4, 1998, she married Kevin "Scott" Long, soulmate and forever best friend. Along with her husband, she was the owner/operator of Triangle Char and Bar in Charleston, South Carolina. As a restaurant owner she had a love of food and beverage and for entertaining guests and being a "momma to all". She has always been described as the sweetest person you will ever meet, extremely selfless, and willing to do anything for anyone. Her smile shined for miles.

    She loved boating, white-water rafting, hiking and her family to whom she was the "BEST MOM." She also had three dogs, Riley, Maze and Charlie, who were her entire world. Crissy also was a member of the Greater Charleston Restaurant Association.

    Surviving along with her husband Scott of the home; her mother: Joyce of Faith, North Carolina; three children: Seth Long of Columbia, South Carolina, who attends the University of South Carolina, Brantley Long of Wilmington who attends UNC Wilmington, Sanders Long of the home, a sister Cindy Dutch of Faith, North Carolina and Lane Dutch, her nephew of Landis, North Carolina. Crissy was predeceased by her father: Haywood Dutch, and her brother Warren Dutch.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to the "Make a Wish Foundation."
