Frances Elizabeth Congleton Banks | Eastern NC Now

    Frances Elizabeth Congleton Banks, age 75, a resident of Ridgewood Manor and Rehabilitation Center for the past 5 years and formerly of Ash- Ma-Tau Trailer Park went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, December 3, 2012.

    A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2012, at Peace Chapel FWB Church located at 2480 W. 5th Street in Washington, NC, officiated by Pastor David Thompson and Pastor Edwin Hill. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 PM Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Peace Chapel FWB Church and other times at the home of her daughter, Carol Spain located at 652 Neck Road, Washington, NC. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Trey Spain, A.J. Congleton, David Cale, Jr., Josh Congleton and nephew C.J. Wainwright along with Scott Barrow and Jerry Martin.

    Ms. Banks was born in Plymouth, NC, on March 11, 1937, daughter of the late Lorena and Harold Hudson. She was a member of the Peace Chapel Free Will Baptist Church in Washington. Her life was devoted to her family and her church and were always the two things closest to her heart.

    She is survived by her daughters, Carol Spain of Washington, NC, and Teresa Cale and boyfriend Scott Barrow of Pinetown, NC; son, Wayne Congleton and his wife Millie of Washington, NC; a sister, Linda Wainwright of Washington, NC; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Patricia Faye Hudson and a grandson Ryan Cale.

    Pamlico Funeral and Cremation Service of Washington is serving the Congleton family.
