Stanley Gray Younce | Eastern NC Now

    Stanley Gray Younce, age 62, a resident of Washington, NC died Friday, August 5, 2022 at his home.

    A funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM Monday, August 8, 2022 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and will be officiated by Adam Waters. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. Pallbearers include Marshall Younce, Walker Younce, Hal Younce, Adam Waters, Ronnie Boyd, Harold Smith, and Dallas Dickerson. Honorary pallbearers include Melvin Alligood.

    Mr. Younce was born in Beaufort County on October 12, 1959 to the late Edward Harold Younce and Frances Ann Walker. He attended Chocowinity High School. Mr. Younce enjoyed fishing, travelling, and classic cars. He was a member of Union Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.

    Survivors include his sons, Marshall Ross Younce, Stanley Walker Younce, both of Chocowinity, a brother, Hal Younce and wife Windy of Chocowinity, a sister, Lynn Younce of Washington, the mother of his children, Deborah Marie Phelps, the grandparents of his children, Marvin Ross Phelps and Sally Louise Phelps, and a special friend and caregiver, Teresa Cushing of Washington.

    The family will receive friends from 10:30 AM until the funeral hour at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory.
