Vickie Elaine Jarvis Jones | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Vickie Elaine Jarvis Jones, age 79, a resident of Washington, NC, died Sunday, August 21, 2022, at her home.

    A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, on Monday, August 29, 2022, at Oakdale Cemetery and will be officiated by Marty Alligood. Charles Smith, Christopher Johnson, Joel Sickert, Clint Sickert, Kevin Sickert, and Elbert J. Jarvis III will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends following the graveside service at the cemetery.

    Vickie Elaine Jarvis was born in Washington, NC, on November 12, 1942, to the late Elbert Jones Jarvis, Sr. and Laura Lilley Jarvis. Vickie was a 1961 graduate of Washington High School. On March 23, 1963, she married Terry McCoy Jones who preceded her in death on February 18, 2010. Vickie was a long-time member of the First Christian Church and received the Gold Award, the Girl Scouts highest honor.

    Survivors include her daughter, Terrie Lynn Jones Johnson (Danny Jones) of Pana, IL, three grandchildren Timothy Johnson, Hollie Johnson, their father, Christopher Johnson, and Kinley Moore, a brother, E.J. (Jay) Jarvis (Audrey Liebross) of CA; her aunt, Jane Schaubel (Carl); a sister-in-law, Joann Smith (Charles) several nephews, one niece as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
