Mr. Robert “Bobby” McLean Davis, Sr. | Eastern NC Now

   Mr. Robert “Bobby” McLean Davis, Sr. age 74, a resident of 7828 N. Savannah Rd. Belhaven, died Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Vidant Pungo Hospital.

   Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, January 7, 2013 at Bethany United Methodist Church and will be conducted by Rev. Tim Hackett. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Clint Davis, Cliff Davis, Billy Daniels, Chris Jordan, Greg Davis and Earl Foster, Jr. will serve as pallbearers. Robert Smith, James Burbage, Mike Davis, Bernie “Winky” Underhill, Mike Williard and Donnie Keech will serve as honorary pallbearers.

   Mr. Davis was born in Beaufort County on March 6, 1938 to the late Guy Robert Davis and Cynthia Allen Davis. He was a retired farmer and truck driver and was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Audree D. Parker and husband Alton of Bath, Amy D. Sasnett and husband Paul of Washington, Leslie D. Foster and husband Earl of Belhaven, two sons, Johnny Dewayne Colbert and wife Lora of Pantego, Robert M. “Louie” Davis, Jr. and Cara Jones of the home, Deanie Wood, mother of Wayne, Louie, Leslie, one sister, Elaine Reddick and husband Roland of League City, Texas and eleven grandchildren, Chelsey Colbert, Sydney Colbert, John Colbert, Destin’ee Brown, Brittany Nixon, Megan Davis, Elizabeth Bland, Candice Sasnett, Amanda Sasnett, Kassie Sasnett and Reid Sasnett. He is also survived by his special friend, Judy Friend of Belhaven. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry D. Davis, Sr. and Walter A. Davis.

   The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home.
