Mr. Floyd Taylor Alligood, Jr. | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Mr. Floyd Taylor Alligood, Jr., age 61, a resident of 374 Old Bath Highway, Washington died Friday morning January 11, 2013 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    A graveside service will be held 2:30 PM Sunday January 13, 2013 at the Alligood Family Cemetery located on Old Bath Highway officiated by Pastor Philip Jethro. Don Mitchell, William Woolard, Herb May, Steve Karle, Anthony Stanley and Cleve Boyd will serve as pallbearers. Jack Mitchell, Daniel May, Shawn Jefferson, Darrell Whitley and Danya Matkins will serve as honorary pallbearers.

    Mr. Alligood was born in Beaufort County on July 20, 1951, son of Dorothy Woolard Alligood and the late Floyd Taylor Alligood, Sr. On October 5, 1968, he married the former Linda Faye Wainwright, who survives. Mr. Alligood was employed with Mitchell Tractor as a mechanic. He attended Alligood Church of God and New Life Pentecostal Church.

   In addition to his wife, Linda of the home, he is survived by his daughters: Kim Alligood Mitchell of Blounts Creek and Dorothy Alligood Hardison of Washington; his grandchildren: Amber Alligood, Dustin Hardison, Austin Mitchell, Cameron Hardison and Aaron Mitchell and his nephew: Walter Gray Alligood, Jr., of Winterville, NC. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother: Walter Gray Alligood, Sr.
