Michael L. Cole, 56, of Kernersville, father of two and husband of Pamela Cole, passed away January 17, 2013.

Services to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, January 20, 2013, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the funeral home.

A native of Miami, Florida, he was the son of the late Lorina Upton and Clyde Cole. He entered service with the US Navy in 1974. After his duty with the Navy, Michael began his career as an electrician. He would continue his craft and leadership skills up to his final position as general manager for Royal Carolina Corporation in Greensboro. Although he never earned a degree, Michael was a highly educated and passionate man who strived for the best in all aspects of his life. He enjoyed fishing, being a craftsman, tinkering in his garage, but mostly enjoyed taking time to be with his family. He truly cared for his pets Maggie, Louie, Baby, Brandy, Jack, Jill, and his adopted pet “Choco”.

In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by his son Jamey Michael Cole and a brother Joe Wainwright.

Survivors include his loving wife of 36 years Pamela Cole of the home; son Andrew Cole of the home; brother Reginald Cole of Chocowinity, NC; sister-in-law Janice Wainwright of Richmond, Virginia; and a host of friends and loved ones.

Michael was a loving, caring, and passionate person who will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Friends and family may sign, and view, the guestbook at www.Pierce-JeffersonFuneralService.com.
