Mrs. Geneva O’Merry Holland | Eastern NC Now

   Mrs. Geneva O’Merry Holland, age 59, a resident of 327 Windley Rd., Washington, NC died with family and friends by her side Saturday January 26, 2013 at her home.

   A graveside funeral service will be held 1 pm Tuesday January 29, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery officiated by Pastor Annie Norman. Pallbearers will be Tommy Smith, Andy Judy, Chris O’Merry, Allan Moore, Brandon Cherry and Ed Cherry.

   Mrs. Geneva was born in Beaufort County on August 16, 1953 daughter of Daniel O’Merry, Jr. who survives and the late Inez Ivey O’Merry. She attended Washington High School and married William Gary Holland on April 22, 1978 who survives. She worked as an Shipping & Receiving Clerk with National Spinning.

   Surviving along with Mrs. Geneva’s husband: Gary of the home is a son: B.J. Holland and his wife Phileta of Washington; her father Daniel O’Merry and step-mother June of Grifton; Special friend Barbara Cole of the home; extended family: Toby Cole and his wife Renee of Blounts Creek, Lori Aldridge and her friend Joe of Grimesland, Amanda Whitley and her husband Scott of Washington and Lisa Taylor and her husband Woody of Washington; two brothers: Daniel O’Merry and his wife Patty of Robersonville and Mike O’Merry and his wife Renee of Oregon and twelve grandchildren.

   The family will receive friends 6 pm to 8 pm Monday January 28, 2013 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
