Thomas William ‘Bill’ Fox
Thomas William 'Bill' Fox, 91, of Washington, NC, died December 18, 2022, at The Bridges at Hendricks Creek assisted living facility in Tarboro, NC.
Mr. Fox was born March 24, 1931 to the late Forrest William Fox and Irene Blake Fox in Fayette County, West Virginia. He joined the U.S. Army in 1948, where he served active duty in three wars during his military career.
Chief Warrant Officer-3, Thomas Fox (CWO3) retired from the U.S. Army with many commendations and honors in February 1971. He moved to Belhaven, NC where he worked in the automotive, farming and seafood industries. Mr. Fox retired from Cryotech Industries in 1995.
Bill is survived by his wife, Carolyn W. Fox of the home, his daughters, Pamela Fox Baker of Clayton, and Margaret Fox Cutrell (Ellis) of Greenville; his step-sons, Donald 'Dondi' Dixon (Crystal) of Washington, Michael Dixon (Melissa) of Winterville, Robert Dixon (Tracey) of Waverly, Virginia, and Larry Penland of Washington; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Judy 'Kay' Latham.
He is also preceded in death by wife Mary Skinner Fox; step-son Anthony W. Penland; sisters, Virginia Fox, Nancy F. Aurentz, Carolyn F. Wagner, Forrest Ann Balding, Jeannette S. Fox; brother, Lorah L. Fox; and grandson Robert L. Dixon, II.
A private memorial service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christ Vision Church, Blount's Creek, NC, or to Harvest Church, Washington, NC.

Miss Jane Arlene Koach, age 94, a resident of Washington and a former resident of New Jersey, died on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at River Trace Nursing and Rehabilitation center in Washington.
