Quarterdeck Robbery Solved | Eastern North Carolina Now

    On December 22, 2012 at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an armed robbery at The Quarterdeck Marina on Carteret Street in Bath, NC. Deputies responded to the location and learned that two white males entered the store and demanded money. Both suspects had their faces covered and one suspect was brandishing a handgun. After taking an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspects fled the scene on foot. Investigators were called to the scene and assisted Deputies with the investigation.

    As a result of the information and evidence gathered during the investigation, Investigator Scott Williams applied for and obtained warrants on February 22nd charging Adam Augustus Tate, age 20, of Clark Road in Bath; Ethan Casey Sparrow, age 21, of Woodstock Road in Belhaven; and William Dakota Selby, age 20, of Highway 45 in Belhaven with one count each of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon.

the Beaufort County Detention Center while being held for the robbery of Hilda’s County Store in Washington. Tate received an additional $100,000.00 secured bond set by Magistrate Eric Holmes. Sparrow was served in the Beaufort County Detention Center while serving a probation sentence. He was held under a $175,000.00 secured bond set by Magistrate Eric Holmes for this and other charges.

    Selby is still at large. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of William Dakota Selby is asked to contact Beaufort County Crime Stoppers by phone, text or through their website.
