A senior communications official on former President Donald Trump's 2020 presidential campaign has joined the Never Back Down PAC, which is urging Florida Governor Ron DeSantis to run for president.

Matt Wolking, the former deputy communications director for Trump's campaign, said in a statement that it was time to move on from the former president and that DeSantis was "the strongest choice" for the current political environment.

"Donald Trump was the president we needed eight years ago, but to make America great again, our movement needs a disciplined leader who wins instead of loses, never backs down, fights smart, and puts the mission before himself," Wolking said in a statement. "On each count, Governor Ron DeSantis is the strongest choice: He's bold, effective, and knows how to finish the job, so with him as president we will finally be able to win so much that we'll be tired of all the winning."

Wolking oversaw the rapid response and war room teams for the Trump campaign. The following year, he served as the campaign communications director for Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin.

"Matt is universally respected, at the top of his game, and will play a decisive role in Never Back Down achieving our strategic objectives and parlaying the desperate attacks poorly attempted by the former president and his shrinking number of allies," said Chris Jankowski, the chief executive of the pro-DeSantis PAC.

Wolking's move to Never Back Down comes after Erin Perrine, who was the press communications director for Trump's 2020 campaign, joined the PAC last week.

The moves by Wolking and Perrine come after Trump claimed on Thursday that DeSantis was "being abandoned by his most 'loyal' people."

After her work on the Trump campaign, Perrine went on to serve as the communications director for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

Jeff Roe, the top political strategist for Youngkin, also joined the PAC last week.

The PAC was launched earlier this month by top former Trump immigration official Ken Cuccinelli, who served as the Acting Deputy Director of the Department of Homeland Security and the Acting Director of U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services.

In the most recent Midterms Election, the "Republican Red Wave" turned out to be a "Republican Red Ripple," which, as in all elections, confounded the political prognosticators of what to expect down the governing /political road: What, and who, do you think is best for this meandering Representative Republic in the near future?
Because they know how to best allocate the public's money back to the right part of the public, the Democrats will NOW always prevail and get my vote.
With patriotic pragmatism the cornerstone of the best of the Republican Party, they will ultimately save this Constitutional Republic from self-destruction.
Since the Executive Branch is so important to turn this Representative Republic around, I am still on Team Trump in 2024.
Since the nation may need a different path to Conservative patriotism in the Executive, I am joining Team DeSantis.
Because I am entitled to take the government dole, the prevailing favoritism whenever possible, I will support any, and every Democrat candidate.
