Police have identified the six victims killed in a mass shooting at a Nashville Christian school, and they include three 9-year-old children and three adults 60 years old and above.

According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, the victims are "Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs, and William Kinney, all age 9, Cynthia Peak, age 61, Katherine Koonce, age 60, and Mike Hill, age 61."

Katherine Koonce was the head of the Covenant School, where a 28-year-old woman opened fire Monday morning before she was killed by two police officers. Police and the FBI are currently at a home associated with the suspected shooter, who The Daily Wire is not publicly identifying per company policy on not naming mass killers.

The shooter, a white 28-year-old Nashville woman who identified as a man according to police, was engaged by police at the Covenant School around 10:27 a.m., 14 minutes after the first call was made to police, Nashville authorities said in a press conference.

"The police department response was swift," a police official said at a press conference outside the school. "Officers entered the first story of the school and began clearing it. They heard shots coming from the second level and they went toward the gunfire. When the officers got to the second level, they saw a shooter, a female, who was firing. The officers engaged her, she was fatally shot by responding police officers. "

Metro Nashville Police identified the shooter as 28-year-old woman hours after the attack. During the press conference, an official said the shooter was "armed with two assault-type rifles and a handgun." Authorities believe the shooter was a former student at the Covenant School.
