France's war on free speech - woman charged for Facebook insult to Macron | Eastern NC Now

arrested for calling globalist President Macron "a piece of filth" in Facebook post

ENCNow

Freedom of speech has had a rough month in France as the country's globalist regime seems to be trying to crush it.  First, a French Senator was indicted for "hate speech" after he tweeted "immigration kills" after a brutal murder of a French child by an illegal alien.  Then two French feminist leaders were indicted for "hate speech" for arguing that allowing biological men into womens restrooms and locker rooms is a threat to women.

Now a woman in her 50s has been arrested and charged with "insulting the president of the republic" after she made a Facebook post calling President Macron "a piece of filth".  She could face a fine of 12,000 euros. France is currently facing massive riots and demonstrations against Macron after the preisdent used a Constitutional trick to lower the retirement age without a vote of parliament.

The latest target, identified by the French media as "Valerie" is an average citizen, who like many these days is outraged at Macron's heavy handed action on the retirement age.  When the police knocked on her door to arrest her, her initial response was "This has to be a joke".

But unfortunately, government tyranny in France these days is NOT a joke.

George Orwell wrote that "freedom of speech is your right to say what I don't want to hear."  It is in serious danger these days on both sides of the Atlantic.
