Peggy Jean Price | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Peggy Jean Price, age 86, of Jamesville, NC; loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend went to be with her God on Sunday, April 9, 2023, at Martin General Hospital.

    Peggy, the daughter of the late Arthur Mumford Waters and Zula Florence Wallace was born in Beaufort County on March 27, 1937.

    In her early years she worked various jobs including working alongside her husband in the Barbecue Kitchen. Peggy loved to keep herself busy by reading her Bible, doing crossword puzzles, making homemade biscuits, fishing, and enjoying time with her beloved grandchildren.

    Survivors include her spouse, Edwin Glenn Price; two daughters, Glenda Marrow (Mack) of Roper, Carolyn Hardison (Staten) of Terra Ceia; three sons, Buddy Price, Ed Price, and Raymond Price all of Jamesville; a sister, Llewellyn Wallace of Pinetown; and 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren with another one on the way.

    She is preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur Jr., Donald, Hubert, and Phillip Waters and sisters, Eunice Woolard and Mert Sturgis; son, Vance Price; and two great-grandchildren, Ivy Price and Jayden Hinson.

    A memorial service will be held at Poplar Chapel Church of Christ in Jamesville on April 16th at 2:30 pm. Visitation will follow the service.
