Members of the Southside High School FFA chapter competed in the Tidewater Federation Career Development events on March 13 at the Vernon James Center in Roper.

    Members of the Southside High School FFA chapter competed in the Tidewater Federation Career Development events on March 13 at the Vernon James Center in Roper.

    The Parliamentary Procedure team, consisting of Valarie Hodges, Macy Paramore, Katie Laughinghouse, John McCormick, Graham Ayers, and Ka’Shaun Harvey, finished in first place.

    Macy Paramore placed second in Prepared Public Speaking.

    The Agriculture Tool Identification team, which was made up of Jonathan Hardy, Jacob Hollowell, Christopher Elks, and Zack Moody, placed second.

    Annie Mills placed third in the FFA Creed event. FFA members who competed in the Parliamentary Procedure, Prepared Public Speaking, and Creed events will compete in April at the regional events at Beaufort County Community College.

    The Agriculture Identification team has advanced to the state competition in June.
