Should the Institutionalized Corruption of the Biden /Harris Administration, in this separate instance the Open Border Policy of our Sovereign Southern Border, be not only tolerated, but sanctioned by the raising of local spending by local politicians to pay for these now visible and known effects of rampant, and out- of-control Illegal Immigration?

    Mrs. Glynda Merle Brashear Gladding, age 86, a resident of Washington, NC died Monday May 28, 2023, at ECU Beaufort Hospital.

    A memorial service will be held later.

    Mrs. Gladding was born in Coryell County, TX, daughter of the late J. C. Brashear and the late Ruby Moody Brashear. She was a graduate of Gatesville High School in Texas. On June 14, 1971, she married Nathaniel Austin Gladding III, who survives. Her true passion was for sailing but also loved traveling, sewing, and caring for her family, especially her grandchildren, who were the apple of her eye. Locally Mrs. Gladding was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Washington.

    Surviving along with her husband Nathaniel of the home are her children: Terrie Lieb (Frank) of Savoy, TX, Dennis Robertson (Dorothy) of Angleton, TX, and Nathaniel "Nat" Gladding IV (Leysi) of Belhaven; a step-son: Matthew Gladding (Ponce) of Hampton, VA; brothers: Kenneth Brashear (Letha) of Red Lodge, MT, and Jim Brashear (Dolores) of Katy, TX; sisters: Melba Kay (Robert) of Caldwell, TX, and Norene Frazier (Billie) of Salado, TX; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979.
