Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced this week that he is creating a new coalition of states that will be announced in the coming days that will unite like-minded governors and sheriffs around the country to combat President Joe Biden's illegal immigration crisis.

DeSantis made the remarks during a roundtable discussion on Wednesday in Arizona where he visited the U.S. southern border. He also fired back at California Governor Gavin Newsom's repeated attacks on him for sending illegal aliens to California, which Newsom has proudly declared is a "sanctuary state."

"The message [we] want to send today is we're going to partner and we're going to formalize this in the coming days and weeks, we're going to partner with all like-minded sheriffs and governors around the country to create a coalition of people that actually do have the will to fight back against this problem," he said. "And I think we'll be able to do a lot working together - probably not gonna be able to solve everything because we need D.C. to get in here, but I think we're going to be able to make a difference."

DeSantis said that both Florida's Highway Patrol and National Guard Counterdrug Task Force have developed a training program to help train officers from around the nation.

"And so we're going to be offering this, we're going to be welcoming people from across the country to come to Florida and train with some of our folks and basically learn a model that we think has had tremendous success," he said.

DeSantis also responded to Newsom's attacks this week after Florida sent planes full of illegal aliens to Sacramento, California, where Newsom lives.

Newsom erupted, calling DeSantis a "small, pathetic man" in a tweet and suggesting that there could be forthcoming criminal charges for kidnapping. In a subsequent interview with NBC News, Newsom said that he was being "very generous" by calling DeSantis "small" and "pathetic." Newsom claimed that DeSantis was "weakness masquerading as strength, yeah, he's flailing, desperate for attention."

When asked to respond to Newsom's comments, DeSantis said, "The sanctuary jurisdictions are part of the reason we have this problem, because they have endorsed and agitated for these types of open border policies, they have bragged that they are sanctuary jurisdictions, they attack the previous administration's efforts to try to have border security."

"When they have to deal with some of the fruits of that, they all of a sudden become very, very upset about that," he said. "Well, what are these people having to deal with here? I don't see the sympathy for them. And so, you know, the reality is, I think the border should be closed, I don't think we should have any of this. But if there's a policy to have an open border, then I think the sanctuary jurisdictions should be the ones that have to bear that - we're not a sanctuary in Florida."

"I think it's been something that's been very, very effective," he continued. "And you can see why some people when they're coming illegally, a place like California, they give benefits, they give unemployment checks, they do all that. And so you could see why some of those folks were interested in going that direction. In Florida, we've gone the opposite way. You know, we say we're gonna have a legal workforce, we're not going to have benefits, we're not going to do that, and basically trying to disincentivize it."

DeSantis said that any nation "worth its salt" must have control over its borders, and that failure to secure the border "is totally unacceptable."

The previous poll on Eastern NC NOW showcased what are many of OUR Constitutional Republic's certain obstacles to remain viable, where the top encumbrance to that continuance as a functioning Republic was the Biden /Harris Wide Open Southern Border. Understanding this overwhelming concern to real America citizens: Do you believe it important to challenge the veracity of those legislated concerns of Democratic Socialists by transporting Illegal Migrants to their Sanctuary cities, counties and states for their direct care?
Yes; test the depth of their "compassion" by giving Democratic Socialists an opportunity to enact all Sanctuary provisions in their communities to test how much they truly do care.
No; the Biden /Harris Wide Open Southern Border Project is designed to only inundate "Red States" to begin their Demographic Upheaval for the benefit of we Democratic Socialists, our politics.
I generally do NOT care about politics, but it is fun watching abject hypocrites squirm; maybe I will start getting more involved.
