Nearly 70% Of Democrats Think Biden Is Too Old For Second Term, AP Poll Finds

A majority of Americans, including nearly 70% of Democrats, think President Joe Biden is too old for another term as president, a new poll found.
About 69% of Democrats and 77% of voters said Biden is too old to serve another four years, according to the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research survey.
Only 22% of voters said Biden is not too old for another presidential term.
The Associated Press poll also included a word association exercise that asked people to give the first word or phrase that comes to mind for GOP frontrunner Donald Trump and Biden.
About 28% of Democrats mentioned Biden's age. Even one Democrat who said he approved of Biden's performance still called him "senile." Democrats said they preferred the terms mentioning Biden's age over "president," "leader," "strong" or "capable."
Out of all respondents, about 15% used words like "slow" or "confused," and another 26% mentioned Biden's age. One Republican said, "potato."
For Trump, the top words were "corrupt" or "crooked" with 15% of people using those terms, 11% for "bad" and other negative terms, 8% for words like "liar" and "dishonest," and 8% for "good" and other positive comments.
About three-fourths said they do not want Biden to run in 2024, while slightly fewer, 69% said they do not want former President Donald Trump to run.
Meanwhile, about 74% of voters said they think the country is heading in the wrong direction, according to the poll.
Biden's favorability rating has been floundering for months now. About 52% of Americans currently say they have an unfavorable opinion of the president, the poll found.
Biden's approval rating on individual policy areas is even worse.
About 63% disapprove of how Biden handles the economy, and 56% disapprove of how he conducts foreign policy, according to the poll. About 45% say they have hardly any confidence at all in Biden's ability to "effectively manage the White House."
Corruption is also a big optics problem for Biden.
A majority of voters, 57%, say they have hardly any confidence in Biden's ability to reduce the amount of corruption in the government in Washington.
Biden's son Hunter Biden's alleged criminal behavior and financial dealings with foreign countries have dogged the president since his campaign and are bound to feature again this election cycle, especially now that the attorney general has appointed a special counsel to investigate the younger Biden.
Nevertheless, Biden seeks a second term and is the decided frontrunner for the Democratic nomination.
Biden is polling at about 65.5% for the nomination, while Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is polling at 12.8% and self-help author Marianne Williamson sits at 6.8%, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.
Trump is also polling double digits ahead of his primary contenders battling his own troubles as he contends with dozens of felony charges in four criminal cases against him.
The former president is currently polling at 53% for the Republican nomination for president, while Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is polling behind in second, followed by tech entrepreneur and political newcomer Vivek Ramaswamy.
Just under half of voters in the Associated Press poll, about 47% say they consider themselves moderate, and only 21% said they consider themselves liberal, while 31% said they consider themselves conservative.
The poll surveyed 1,165 adults from August 10 to 14 with a margin of error of 3.8 percentage points.

This has been a long standing problem with this Fool Politician, and in many Democratic primaries past, he was roundly rejected by his own party when seeking the highest office in the land.
However, in the 2020 election, the corrupt corporate media colluded with the corrupt Big Tech, and whatever utterly dishonest DOJ/FBI/CIA leadership (which ended up being most of it) they could cobble together to stick Non Patriot Joe in his basement, and win him an election by whatever means necessary.
