Linda Harris Davenport | Eastern NC Now

    Linda Harris Davenport, 81, a resident of Pinetown passed away peacefully in her home on September 4, 2023.

    Mrs. Davenport was born in Beaufort County on January 28,1942 to the late John Lloyd Harris and Lillian Pinkham Harris. Linda is a 1960 graduate of Pantego High School and on February 20, 1960, married the love of her life, Wayne Kersey Davenport. After many years, Mrs. Davenport retired from Beaufort County Schools and devoted her time in her volunteer Bible ministry, planting flowers & tending to her beautiful yard as well as spending time with her family and friends whom she loved dearly.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Davenport is predeceased by two of her children, Jeremy Lloyd Davenport and Christie Davenport Whitesell along with three siblings, Rachel Stokesberry & Hugh Harris both of Pinetown and Edna Daw of New Bern.

    Mrs. Davenport is survived by three children. Michael Wayne Davenport of Gallatin, Tennessee, Timmy Dale Davenport and wife Debbie of Atlantic Beach and Kevin Scott Davenport and wife Logan of the home, a sister, Peggy H. Best and husband Carney of Pinetown, along with her four beloved grandchildren, Dale, Kayla, Canyen and Reagan.

    The family will receive visitors Friday, September 8, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home in Washington 6pm-8pm.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 2pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 1732 N. Market St. in Washington.
