    Mr. Henry Earl Henne, age 71, a resident of Washington, NC died Wednesday September 6, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville.

    A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday September 11, 2023, at Forest Hill Cemetery in Nashville, NC. The service and masonic rites will be officiated by Rev. Chet Rains. Pallbearers will be Matt Henne, Jackson Turner, Billy Lee, Grayson Ayscue and Craig Nelson.

    Mr. Henry was born on October 11, 1951, in Cortland County, NY, son of the late Artley Henne and the late Mae Gertie Cobb Henne. He was a 1971 graduate of Cortland Senior High School and received his associate degree in Funeral Service at Simmons College of Funeral Service. On July 1, 2001, he married Mary Ann Creekmore. He was a maintenance technician at Pfizer Co. in Rocky Mount. With his funeral service education, he worked at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Mr. Henry was a member of Orr Lodge 104 A.F. & A.M. in Washington and was a former member of the Masonic Lodge in Rocky Mount. Also, he was a member of Edgemont Baptist Church in Rocky Mount.

    Surviving along with his wife Mary Ann C. Henne of the home. His children: Michele Henne of Washington, Maryann McKain of Spring Hope, and Timothy Henne and his wife Danielle of Syracuse, NY; stepchildren: Crissy Cone of Zebulon, and Felicia Murphy and Billy Lee of Nashville; brother: John Henne and his wife Sue of Washington; sister: Paula Nelson and her husband Craig of Avon, NY; and grandchildren: Anthony, Timmy, and Rayne Henne, Thomas McKain, Jackson and Lily Turner, Marymae McKain, Grayson Ayscue and Dylan Lee. And nieces and nephews: Matt and Jay Henne, Dave Nelson, Melissa Chase and Chris Nelson.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to Clarks Neck Volunteer Fire Department, 5440 Clarks Neck Road, Washington, NC 27889.
