Janet Sue Robinson Lorenz | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Janet Sue Robinson Lorenz, age 82, a resident of Chocowinity, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2023, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    Mrs. Lorenz was born in Columbus, Ohio on June 1, 1941. She was the daughter of the late William Robinson and Rena Eby Robinson. Mrs. Lorenz was a retired office manager/comptroller of a multi-generational family business, Lorenz Housewares Inc. She was a member of the Washington Women's Bible Study. Mrs. Lorenz enjoyed antiquing and interior design. She was an inspiration to all who knew her, a mentor to many, a kind and giving friend, and the best Mother and Nana ever. The world is a better place because of her many gifts of care, knowledge, and support.

    Mrs. Lorenz was married to Jerry Lorenz, who preceded her in death.

    Mrs. Lorenz is survived by her son, Jeff Lorenz and wife, Cheryl of Nashville, TN; her daughter, Jackie Douglas and husband, Bob of Chocowinity; and her three grandchildren, Cody Lorenz of Beaverton, Oregon, Bryanna Lorenz Chuquimia and husband, Ben of Bellevue, Washington, and Carson Dunbar of Portland, Oregon.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Lorenz was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Lorenz.
