The Cuban embassy in Washington, D.C., was the target of a "terrorist attack" after two Molotov cocktails were thrown at the building on Sunday evening, according to Cuba's Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Cuban diplomat Bruno Rodríguez said in a statement on X that the embassy had been attacked when someone threw multiple makeshift incendiary devices at it. The Secret Service investigated the incident and reported no major damage.

"In the evening of today, Sep 24, the Cuban embassy in the US was the target of a terrorist attack by an individual who launched 2 Molotov cocktails. The staff suffered no harm. Details are being worked out," Rodríguez said.

Law enforcement arrived at the embassy around 8:00 p.m. and has not made any arrests.

"This is the second violent attack against #Cuba's diplomatic mission ... in Washington since April, 2020," Rodríguez added. "Back then, an individual shot several rounds against the embassy using an assault rifle. The anti-Cuban groups resort to terrorism when feeling they enjoy impunity, something that #Cuba has repeatedly warned the US authorities about."

The diplomat was referring to an incident on April 30, 2020, when about 30 rounds of ammo were fired into the Cuban embassy. No one was injured during the shooting, but the building was damaged. Rodríguez also referred to that attack as an act of terrorism.

A federal jury later indicted Alexander Alazo, a Cuban-born man, for the shooting and charged him with a violent attack on a foreign official or official premises using a deadly weapon. Alazo was detained "by the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) without incident, and the weapon used in the shooting was recovered, as was an accelerant-soaked Cuban flag," according to the Department of Justice.

The Cuban embassy in D.C. was re-opened in 2015 after former President Barack Obama moved to normalize diplomatic relations with the communist country after they had been suspended for more than 50 years.

Should the Institutionalized Corruption of the Biden /Harris Administration, in this separate instance the Open Border Policy of our Sovereign Southern Border, be not only tolerated, but sanctioned by the raising of local spending by local politicians to pay for these now visible and known effects of rampant, and out-of-control Illegal Immigration?
Yes, it is a kind thing to do, and a way that our county, our state can aid in this tremendous effort toward local federal foreign aid; and now, thankfully, in great abundance.
No, our Constitutional Republic WILL NOT continue to exist, as our United States of America, if we do not control our sovereign borders, to protect our citizens, to keep them solvent and safe.
I only consider what is topical and popular since my friends, too, only care to do the same.
