Lydia Icelean Boyd Wynne | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Lydia Icelean Boyd Wynne, age 90, a resident of Cherry Run Road, Washington, passed away Monday, September 25, 2023, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Tranters Creek Church of Christ, Cherry Run Road, Washington. A Funeral service will follow at 11:00 AM, conducted by Phillip Paul. Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, Washington.

    The Men of Tranters Creek Church of Christ will serve as pallbearers.

    Mrs. Wynne was born in Pinetown on April 10, 1933. She was the daughter of the late James Weaver Boyd and Lydia Baynor Boyd. Mrs. Wynne was a retired Assistant Manager of Operation Services for Carolina Telephone/Sprint. She was a member of the Acre Chapel Christian Church and White Post Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Wynne attended Tranters Creek Church of Christ. She participated on the Bath High School Reunion committee.

    Mrs. Wynne was married to Dallas Franklin Wynne, who preceded her in death.

    Mrs. Wynne is survived by her son, James Franklin Wynne of the home.

    In addition to her parents and her husband, Mrs. Wynne was preceded in death by two brothers, James Ronald Boyd and Jasper Boyd and sister, Edith Pinkham.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tranters Creek Church of Christ Missionary Fund, 7108 Cherry Run Road, Washington, N.C. 27889.
