    It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dianne Evans on November 24, 2023. Dianne, a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandma, baby sister, and cherished friend departed this world at the age of 78, following complications after surgery.

    Born to Herman and Betty Joe, the youngest sibling of Joe, Jean, Joan, and Nancy, on August 21, 1945, in Windsor, North Carolina. Dianne brought joy and warmth into the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her journey through life was marked by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering dedication to Jesus, her family, and her church.

    Dianne, a retired bookkeeper, approached every aspect of her life with grace and resilience, earning the admiration and respect of her colleagues and friends. Her home was a haven of love and acceptance where she created lasting memories with her family, even it if meant losing at Rummikub.

    She is survived by her beloved husband Carol, her children David, and wife Ashby, and Donna, and husband Justin, and her grandchildren Jonathan, Hannah Grace and husband Kyle, Aaron, Cailee, Austin, Gabriel, and Sara. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Joan, her niece Vicky, and her nephew John. Dianne's legacy is one of love, strength, and the enduring bonds of family.

    A memorial service to celebrate Dianne's life will be held 2:30PM on December 2, 2023, at First Baptist Church, located 113 North Harvey Street, Washington, North Carolina.

    In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to either First Baptist Church or the American Heart Association in Dianne's Memory.

    Dianne's light will continue to shine in our hearts as she taught us how to follow Jesus without saying a word.
