Donna Ann Genovese Pomeroy | Eastern NC Now

    Donna Ann Genovese Pomeroy, age 78, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday, November 26, 2023, at ECU Beaufort Hospital in Washington.

    A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Rev. Virginia Thomas. A burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery in Washington. Pallbearers will be Emmanuel Paul, Roy Bunch, Earl Pyle, and Jamie McVicker. The family will receive friends 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday November 30, 2023, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory and other times at the home.

    Mrs. Pomeroy was born in the Bronx, NY on January 26, 1945, daughter of the late John R. Genovese and the late Marianna J. Accamendo Genovese. She was a 1963 graduate of Hightstown High School. She married Ralph Pomeroy who preceded her in death on December 1, 2001. She, along with her late husband owned R&H Auto Springs Company in Wall Township, NJ. Mrs. Pomeroy loved crossword puzzles and shopping. Her faith in her Lord and Savior was very strong, she was a servant to all and was an armor bearer to her pastor, Debra Windley. Her service will be greatly missed at her church, New Hope Worship Center in Washington.

    Survivors include a sister: Marian Brescio of Columbus, NJ; two sisters-in-law: Diane G. Genovese of Manchester Township, NJ and Carole G. Genovese of Boynton Beach FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased, along with her parents and husband, by two brothers: Joseph and Thomas Genovese.

    In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for memorial contributions to be made to New Hope Worship Center, 445 Clarks Neck Road, Washington, NC 27889.
