    Mrs. Marie Ball Pollard, age 67, a resident of Washington, NC died Friday December 2023, at the Service League of Greenville Inpatient Hospice.

    A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday December 5, 2023, officiated by Pastor Danny Hoell and Pastor Larry Ball. The service will be held at the Jordan Family Cemetery located at 304 Jordan Dr., Pinetown, NC. The family will receive friends at the home of Mrs. Pollard's daughter Lisa Taylor located at 403 Ranson Ct., Grimesland, NC

    Mrs. Pollard was born in Beaufort County on April 14, 1956, daughter of the late Albert "Mayhew" Ball and the late Elosie Jordan Ball. On March 4, 1971, she married Kenneth Earl Pollard, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 6, 2013. She had a servant's heart and that allowed her to be a private caregiver to the elderly and sick. Her greatest joy was spending time and keeping her grandchildren.

    Survivors include her children: Kenneth Pollard Jr. and his wife Ginger of Washington, Christopher Pollard and his fiancée Brandy Fisher of Washington, and Lisa Taylor and her husband Woody of Grimesland; a brother: Larry Wayne Ball and his wife Terry of Corinth, MS; grandchildren: Josette Miller and her husband Jacob, Bradley Taylor, Eli Taylor, Kristina Pollard, Addison Pollard, Kenny James Pollard, Austin Meaney, and Justin Meaney; and a great grandchild: Acy Pollard. She was predeceased, along with her parents and husband, by a brother: Russell Mayhew Ball.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Marie Pollard Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
