‘Lady Ballers,’ ‘The Most Triggering Comedy Of The Year,’ Premieres On DailyWire+ Tonight | Eastern NC Now

    "Lady Ballers," a movie that mocks the recent and controversial phenomenon of men competing in women's sports, will be released by The Daily Wire at 8:00 p.m. ET Friday.

    The DailyWire+ original and the company's first-ever feature-length comedy has already received praise following its red-carpet premiere. "Lady Ballers" tells the story of one down-on-his-luck former high school basketball coach, Rob, who will do anything to win - which in this case means teaching his team of men radical modern gender theory and leading them to identify as women in order to brutally dominate multiple women's sports.

    "Lady Ballers" is directed by the company's co-founder Jeremy Boreing, who also stars in the film alongside Daily Wire sports show "Crain & Co." hosts.

    "The only thing happening in our culture more absurd and hilarious than men calling themselves women and then dominating women's sports is that the 'speak truth to power' set on the left not only won't make fun of it, they won't even acknowledge it's a joke," Boreing said. "This movie is for the women who have trained their entire lives only to be beaten at their sport by a man who couldn't win at his, the majority of Americans who find the whole idea of men in women's sports to be objectively wrong, and anyone who misses comedy - which the woke left destroyed on their ascent to cultural primacy."

    Boreing plays the lead character, Coach Rob, while "Crain & Co." hosts Jake Crain, Blain Crain, and David Cone join comedian Tyler Fischer and newcomer Daniel Considine as Lady Ballers players. The Daily Wire's Matt Walsh stars as woke beatnik, Kris; Instagram influencer Billie Rae Brandt debuts as the villainous journalist, Gwen Wilde; Lexie Contursi (La La Land) stars as Coach Rob's ex-wife, Dharby; and Rosie Seraphine Harper debuts as Rob's eight-year-old daughter, Winnie.

    The trailer reveals a who's who of conservative personalities - including Daily Wire stars Ben Shapiro, Brett Cooper, Michael Knowles, and Andrew Klavan, plus college women's swim champ Riley Gaines, Senator Ted Cruz, Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon, with even more to be revealed in the film.

    Sen. Cruz said the movie is "funny as hell," adding that he was "proud to appear in the Daily Wire's new comedy that will call out the leftists destroying women's sports and taking opportunities away from female athletes."

    Though largely kept under wraps until now, the movie already had its fair share of controversy during filming in Nashville, with protestors rallying on location, bullying and harrassing cast and crew as they arrived on set, and successfully pressuring one contracted filming location to cancel.

    "Lady Ballers" premieres tonight exclusively on DailyWire+ at 8:00 p.m. ET.
