Hamas Terrorists Violate Ceasefire With Rocket Attack; Israel Responds With Precision Strikes | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Hamas terrorists violated on Friday the temporary ceasefire agreement that was in effect with Israel that had allowed hostages to be returned to Israel in exchange for Israel releasing convicted Palestinian criminals.

    The Palestinian Islamic terrorists violated the terms of the pause by failing to provide an adequate list of hostages to release to extend the pause and by firing dozens of rockets at Israeli cities late on Thursday and early Friday. Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) also launched terrorist rocket attacks on Israel.

    In response, the Israel Defense Forces announced that it was resuming combat operations against the terrorist group after they murdered 1,200 Israelis, wounded 5,300+, and kidnapped more than 240 during their unprecedented terrorist attack on Israel on October 7.

    The IDF announced that it was providing guidance to Gazans on where to move for their own safety so they would not get caught in the crossfire as Hamas tries to use them as human shields.

    "In preparation for the next stage of the war, the IDF is publishing the Evacuation Zone Map in the Gaza Strip," the IDF said. "This divides the territory of the Gaza Strip into areas according to recognizable areas to enable the residents of Gaza to orient themselves and understand the instructions, and to evacuate from specific places for their safety if required."

    An interactive map published in Arabic shows residents where they need to evacuate from if Israel requests it.

    The IDF also launched intense attacks against Hamas terrorists after they violated the ceasefire, striking more than 200 terror targets inside of Gaza.

    "The IDF struck areas booby-trapped with explosives, terror tunnel shafts, launch posts, and operational command centers designated by Hamas for use in the renewed fighting," the IDF said.

    The IDF eliminated numerous terrorist cells throughout Gaza during their renewed offensive, including one strike that eliminated 10 terrorists.
