Mr. Bobby Ray Leary | Eastern NC Now

    Mr. Bobby Ray Leary, age 62, a resident of 2920 Williams Road, Greenville, died unexpectedly Friday, May 24, 2013.

    Graveside services will be held 3:00 PM Friday, May 31, 2013 at Oakdale Cemetery, Washington.

    Mr. Leary was born in Pitt County on December 16, 1950. He was the son of the late Jesse James Leary and Mamie Mae Rogers Leary. Mr. Leary was a retired carpenter. He had worked at Farris and Son and Azalea Mobile Homes. In his spare time, Mr. Leary loved to work with his hands especially on cars. He also loved his truck and chewing tobacco.

    Mr. Leary was married to the former Diana Mizelle, who preceded him in death, April 8, 2012.

    Survivors include three sisters, Jennie Gray Leary of Farmville, Mary Martha Ford of Fayetteville, Dorothy Mae Nanney of Farmville; one brother, Marion Hyman Leary of Greenville and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

    In addition to his parents and his wife, Mr. Leary was preceded in death by five brothers, Jesse Irvin Leary, James Alfred Leary, Tommy Leary, William Russell Leary and Levi Leary.

    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bobby Ray Leary Memorial Fund, P. O. Box 1465, Washington, N.C. 27889.
