Frank Edward Billups | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Frank Edward Billups, age 85, a resident of Belhaven, NC died Tuesday January 16, 2024 at his home.

    No services will be held, per his request.

    Mr. Billups was born on June 10, 1938, in Southampton County, VA to the late Linwood and Mary Alice Billups. On June 16, 1976, he married Ginger Courson who preceded him in death on February 18, 2021. He attended Ivor High School in Ivor, VA. Mr. Billups worked as the operations manager for Tideland EMC for 34 years, finally retiring in 2000. He was a former volunteer fireman and former board member with Pantego Volunteer Fire Department, former member of the Ruritan Club, and an active member of the Beech Ridge Hunt Club. Mr. Billups enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening. He fed many friends and family from his beloved Garden.

    Survivors include his sons, Edward Kent Billups of Belhaven, Paul Andrews and wife Dana of Belhaven, Jeremy Andrews and wife Candace of Bath, his daughter Julie Marie Billups- Rattler and husband Melvin of Aurora, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren that he dearly loved, a sister, Virginia Rawls of Zuni, VA, and many close nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

    He is preceded in death by six brothers, Leno Billups, James, Billups, Joseph Billups, William Billups, Raymond Billups, Earl Billups; a sister, Frances McDermott; and one granddaughter.

    The family will receive friends at the home.
