York Mobley Winstead | Eastern NC Now

    York Mobley Winstead, 31, of Indian Trail, NC, formerly of Washington, NC entered into eternal rest December 31, 2023. Born November 10, 1992, to Debbi Fucito and Tony Winstead, he was a graduate of WHS Class of 2011. He earned his Culinary Arts Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, NC in 2015. York loved his position as Sous Chef at Switchin' Kitchens and his nine years working the Masters with Vera.

    A memorial visitation will be held January 27, 2024 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory, 900 John Small Avenue, Washington, NC.

    York leaves behind not only a legacy of love, laughter and a passion for cooking but a host of family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Dana, son, Orin, stepdaughter Brinley and stepson Milo. York also leaves behind his parents, Debbi Fucito, and Tony and Monica Winstead, brothers Dayne (Melissa) and Logan and fiancée Autumn, stepsisters Marissa Jones (Doug), Chelsey Fucito, and Peyton Hardin, stepbrothers Jonas Fucito and Cameron Hammond.

    York was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jerry Fucito and grandfather, Bobby York Mobley, whom he was named after.

    An avid disc golfer, music lover, wakeboard "pro", e-board obsessed, whiskey connoisseur, AMAZING friend/partner and WONDERFUL Dad, York will forever hold a place in the hearts of all of those who knew and loved him.
