Mary Elizabeth Redditt Rose | Eastern NC Now

    Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Redditt Rose, age 86, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Thursday February 1, 2024, at her home.

    In keeping with Mrs. Rose's wishes, no services will be held locally.

    Mrs. Rose was born in Beaufort County on July 29, 1937, daughter of the late William Henry Redditt, Sr. and the late Lina Cudella Clark Duncan. She retired as a director from the Hunter Foundation in Norfolk, Va after thirty plus years of service. She loved doing crafts, shopping, and the outdoors. Her greatest hobby was fishing.

    Survivors include her children, Edith J. Berry of Chocowinity and Mark Anthony Everton of Tampa, FL; a brother, Gene Audrey Redditt of Oregon; a sister, Phyllis Lee Peaks of Williamston; grandchildren, Angela Coen and Lloyd J. Everton and his fiancée Stephany Kuvacki; great grandchildren, Hannah Rose Everton, Haidi Joyce Everton, and Hailey Nichole Kuvacki; and great grandchildren, Damien Michael Needham, Josephine Lori Milot, and Ava Marie Milot. Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Jimmy Jensen and her grandson, Daniel Coen.

    In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made to the Mary Rose Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
