Right wins landslide reelection in important Spanish region of Galicia | Eastern NC Now

Gov't media said before election that it would not cover results if right won

For the past few weeks, Spain's governing Socialists have been predicting that they would oust the tradional conservative Popular Party in the important regional election  in Galicia.  The national government-run broadcaster had even said publicly that it would not announce the results on the air if the right won.

When the votes were counted, the Socialists ran a distant third place, and the Popular Party again posted a landslide victory, giving them a comfortable majority in the regional legislature.  The Popular Party won 40 seats to the Socialists 9. A regional nationalist party even edged out the Socialists for second place.

Meanwhile in Madrid, farmers staged a massive demonstration against European Union climate policies, dubbed "climate communism" by the farmers.

And in a new front in the farmers war against climate alarmism, tractors were also rolling in Greece targeting Athens.
