Former President Donald Trump won Michigan's Republican Party presidential primary on Tuesday night, beating former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley by more than 30 points.

The Associated Press called the race shortly after polls closed in the state. With 12% of the vote being counted, Trump leads Haley 66.0% to 29.4%.

The New York Times live forecast said Trump's expected margin of victory was roughly 47 points.

"We have a very simple task - we have to win on Nov. 5," Trump, speaking of this November's general election, told a Michigan GOP watch party in Grand Rapids. "We win Michigan, we win the whole thing."

"Nov. 5, we're going to get [Biden] out," Trump added. "We're going to change our country. We're going to bring our country back."

Trump has dominated all of the primaries thus far, posting double digit victories in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina.

Haley claimed that the results in Michigan showed that Trump was weak: "Let this serve as another warning sign that what has happened in Michigan will continue to play out across the country."

An aide for Haley slammed the Michigan GOP, calling it "fractured and divided," and saying that if Trump was the nominee, "Republicans will keep losing to the socialist left."

President Joe Biden easily won the Democrat primary in the state on Tuesday night, amassing roughly 80% of the vote with 20% of the votes being counted.

Biden faced a protest vote from Muslims in the state who are upset that he has mostly sided with Israel in its war against the Hamas terrorists responsible for murdering 1,200 people on October 7.

Those protesting Biden voted "Uncommitted" on Tuesday night, which accounted for approximately 15% of the Democrat vote.

With roughly a quarter of the votes counted on both Democrat and Republican side, Republicans secured a far higher turnout than Democrats did, 290,000 votes to 197,000 votes.
