Establishment party bureaucrat beats grassroots conservative for NCGOP chairman | Eastern NC Now
the swamp wins again
The swamp insiders prevailed by the NCGOP state executive committee meeting in inserting a party bureaucrat, Jason Simmons, as the new party chairman. Simmons, who has never held an elected position in the party beat former Guilford County GOP chairman Marcus Kindley and current Lee County GOP chairman Jim Womack.
And now, the establishment is gloating instead of trying to work with the grassroots.
