Europe's freedom of speech disappearing, even in its own parliament | Eastern NC Now

populist right lawmaker not allowed to criticize EU's Green Deal

ENCNow

As totalitarian "hate speech" laws expand around Europe, goosestepping on freedom of speech, the European Union's own parliament has proven it is not immune from ideological censorship.  A Spanish populist right lawmaker was not allowed to address parliament criticizing the EU's Green Deal and had his microphone cut off.

Parliament had scheduled debate on the topic "The attack on climate and nature - far right and conservative attempts to destroy the Green Deal and prevent investment in our future", a topic that was itself politically charged from the beginning.  Spanish MEP (lawmaker) Jorge Buxade of the Spanish populist nationalist anti-immigration Vox Party took the floor to address the topic, declaring that the populist nationalist block in the EU parliament intended to repeal the Green Deal and to fight the UN's "diabolical Agenda 2030".

After Buxade proceeded to describe the EU Green Deal and the UN Agenda 2030 as "nothing but a plan of mass layoffs against European workers, the middle class, and European companies,"  EU parliament vice chairman Oetjen, a German liberal who was presiding over the session, stated "that is not the way we proceed here", cut off Buxade's microphone, and demanded he sit down. Buxade, however, continued his speech until its conclusion without the aid of a microphone.

So free speech is not even allowed in the EU parliament by elected members of that parliament these days if one fails to adhere to the globalist agenda?  Is the EU fast becoming the EUSSR or perhaps the Fourth Reich?

It is the populist nationalist right that may well get the last laugh on this Green Deal insanity. Polls show support for the populist right parties skyrocketing for June's EU parliamentary election, while support for the center-left and the greens craters. Lets hope so. Between the migration pact and the Green Deal, the current majority in the EU parliament is a clear and present danger to the future of the continent. The left is engaged in a War on Free Speech and that attack on free speech needs to be stopped.
