    Lori Jean Millar Elks, age 57, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Tuesday May 14, 2024, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville.

    A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday May 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour.

    Lori Jean Millar Elks, age 57, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Tuesday May 14, 2024 at ECU Medical Center in Greenville.

    Mrs. Elks was born on August 2, 1966 in Columbia, Maryland to the late Preston Bradford Millar and Phyllis Adele Millar. She worked as a Caretaker for Maxim Home Health in Greenville. Mrs. Elks enjoyed taking care of others, fishing with her husband Gerald, spending time with her nieces and nephews, gardening and cooking.

    Survivors include her son, Michael Goldberg of Chocowinity, two brothers, Steve Millar and wife Eva of Chesapeake, VA, John Millar and wife Ruth of Virginia Beach, VA, and mother-in-law, Shirley Elks of Chocowinity.

    She is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Dalton Elks, son, Matthew Cary Goldberg, and brother-in-law, James Phillip Elks.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Lori Millar Elks Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
