    Mr. Asa Mack Harrison, Sr., age 75, a resident of Johnson Ridge Rd., Oak City, NC, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Vidant Medical Center.

    There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 11:30 AM in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service officiated by Chris Minton and Greg Sexton. Burial will follow in the Belhaven Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 10:00 to 11:15 AM at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations, 4500 Hwy 264 E., Washington, NC.

    Mr. Harrison was born December 9, 1937 in Beaufort County, son of the late Lester and Rachael Mizelle Harrison. He graduated from Bath High School and joined the Army National Guard. Mr. Harrison was a farmer and loved old trucks. He was a member of Goldpoint Church of Christ.

    Mr. Harrison is survived by his children, Asa Mack Harrison, Jr. and wife Debbie of Williamston and their children, Amber and Gavin; Mitchell Harrison of Hamilton and Charlene H. Turner and husband Bobby of Williamston and their son Harrison; and his sisters, Sandra Harrison of Greenville and Elaine Harrison of Bath.

    In addition to his wife Eleanor Harrison he was preceded in death by his sister, Janice Padgett.
