    Leroy Everette, Jr., age 74, a resident of Belhaven, NC, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2024, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

    The family will receive friends and family on Thursday August 22 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington.

    Mr. Everette was born in Pitt County on May 6, 1950, to Leroy Everette and Thelma Garris Everette. He grew up as a farmer and later became a commercial fisherman and crabber. For over 20 years, Leroy successfully operated Everette's Pest Control, a locally owned service that provided pest control to Greenville, NC, and the surrounding areas. He enjoyed spending time on the water, fishing, and maintaining the neighborhood premises.

    Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Beaman Everette of the home; a son, Neil Everette, and wife Kendra Everette of Austin, Texas; a stepson, Scott Crisp and wife Debbie Crisp of Leslie, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Brooke Nava, Erin Everette, Zane Everette, Amber Davis, and Austin Crisp; two great-grandchildren: Adonis Nava and Scarlett Davis; two brothers: Ronnie Everette and wife Donna of Greenville, and Randy Everette and wife Lynn of Greenville; and a sister, Peggy Justice and husband Charles of Greenville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Everette, and his wife Helen, as well as a stepson, Johnny Crisp.
