Biden - Harris diverted almost $1 billion from FEMA to settle illegal aliens in USA | Eastern NC Now

FEMA's weak efforts on behalf of Hurricaine Helene victims has been starling.  For the first time in memory with a major hurricane bearing down on the country, they refused to pre-stage supplies, equipment, and personnel in areas likely to be impacted.  They have been slow and weak in responding.  It was 80 hours after the storm when the first trickles of FEMA help arrived, days after state rescue personnel had gone in.

Now part of the reason for this lack of adequate performance on what has always been FEMA's main job, disaster relief, is becoming obvious.  Over the last two years, the Biden-Harris regime has used almost a billion dollars of FEMA's fundng to pay for settling illegal aliens across America.  Biden-Harris diverted $364 million of FEMA money to illegal aliens in 2023 and $650 million in 2024.  That is money that would have come in handy for Hurricane Helene relief right now.

Of course, a lot of the problem is the orientation of FEMA under Biden-Harris.  The FEMA mission statement has been rewritten under Biden-Harris to focus on three goals - equity, climate, and a "strong FEMA".  The first two goals have nothing to do with disaster relief, although the first may explain the diversion of funds to illegal aliens.  Even the third does not explicitely embrace it.

This is a complete bastardizatioin of an agency that Americans are supposed to be able to depend on in an emergency.

In contrast, even out of office, President Trump is doing more for these distressed areas.  He cancelled his schdule to go to Valdosta, Georgia, a hard hit area with truckloads of relief supplies.  He has raised millions of dollars from a GoFundMe page for victims.  He called Elon Musk and talked him into providing free Starlink servieces in the impacted areas, giving people a way to communicate with the outside world.
