    Ms. Geneva Cox Keech, age 102, died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Roanoke Landing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Plymouth, NC.

    A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven officiated by Pastor Steve Creech and Pastor Bob Beltz. Burial will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery. Clifton Cox, Eugene Cox, Royce Ballance, Mitchell Ballance, Madison Ballance and Ted Carawan will serve as pallbearers.

    Ms. Keech was born in Hyde County on August 14, 1910 to the late Walter Cox and Oneta Gibbs Cox. On November 8, 1942, she married the former John Marvin Keech, who preceded her in death on April 1, 1980. Ms. Keech was a member of the West Belhaven Church of Christ.

    Ms. Keech is survived by a daughter; Dorothy Adams and husband John of Plymouth, grandchildren; Stephanie Gurganus and husband Donnie of Williamston, NC and John Hague of Brunswick, GA, great grandchildren; Lindsay Kirk and her husband James and Summer Hague both of Greenville, NC and the mother of the great grandchildren; Sharon Hague.

    In addition to her parents and husband, Ms. Keech is preceded in death by brothers; David Cox, Ralph Cox, Thomas, Guy Cuthrell and sisters; Myrtle Mooney and Inez Williams.

    The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the funeral service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home and other times at the home of her daughter, Dorothy Adams located at 2553 Long Ridge Road, Plymouth, NC 27962.
