Robin Lynn Keel Baker | Eastern NC Now

    Robin Lynn Keel Baker, age 65, a resident of Washington, NC died Sunday November 10, 2024 at her home.

    A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday November 15, 2024 in the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial of cremated remains will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday November 14, 2024 at Paul Funeral Home of Washington and other times at the home of her step father, Milton Hodges, Sr.

    Mrs. Baker was born in Wake County on December 13, 1958 to the late Allen Keel and late Joann Elks. She was a 1977 graduate of Washington High School. On December 1, 1989 she married James Thomas Baker, Jr. Mrs. Baker worked for over 30 years as an assembly worker making filters. She enjoyed painting, crafting, singing, taking pictures, and playing on her tablet. Mrs. Baker was a member of Old Ford Church of Christ.

    Survivors include her husband, James T. Baker, Jr., three brothers, Milton Eugene "Gene" Hodges Jr., Allen Keel, Will Keel, a sister, Donna Ray, her stepfather, Milton Hodges, Sr. and two special friends, Linda Shivers and Cindy Elliott.

    She is preceded in death by her son, James Thomas "Jamie" Baker, III, a brother, David Allen Keel, and a sister Roman Keel.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Robin Baker Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889 or to the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, c/o General Fund, 1209 Brown Street, Washington, NC 27889.
