Globalists pushing totalitarian moves to block populist right in France and Germany | Eastern North Carolina Now

In France, the populist nationalist anti-immigration National Rally is the country's most popular party.  In Germany, the populist nationalist anti-immigration Alternativ fur Deutschland is a close second to the CDU.  Both are under attack from those country's globalist governments which want to abuse power to kneecap both parties.

In France, taking a cue from Biden's lawfare against Trump, the globalists around Macron have trumped up a criminal case against the National Rally and its leaders over claims they used some of their EU parliament staff for national party activities.  A kangaroo court trial led to guilty verdicts with likely reversal on appeal.  However, prosecutors are trying to structure a sentence that would prevent National Rally leader Marine LePen, who is leading the in polls for President in 2027, from being eligible to run for that office.  They seek very extreme sentencing and an unusual procedure to impose the sentence pending appeal.  Their recommended sentence would also put her in prison and remove her from parliament.

In Germany, the parties in the recently collapsed Scholtz government are actually proposing to ban the second most popular party in the country, which in substantially leading all of their coalition parties in the polls.  Scholtz is proposing to do to the AfD the same thing Hitler did to opposition parties after 1933.  If Scholtz and his allies do that, they can truly be called neo-nazis.

GLobalism is a clear and present danger to democracy.  Globalism is a totalitarian ideology, and if any political ideology needs to be samped out, it is globalism.  Failing and flailing globalist parties which have lost support want to abuse power to suppress the populist parties that have gained support.

The US has likely dodged a similar bullet with the NOv. 5 election result.
