DOGE finds huge conflicts of interest in EPA insider grants of Billions under Biden | Eastern NC Now

In analyzing the EPA's slush fund, which one EPA political appointee described as "tossing gold bars off the Titanic", DOGE has found some very serious conflicts of interest.  These suggest that criminal investigations should be opened on those responsible for funding decisions.

In one case, Jahi Wise, a Biden political appointee at EPA, left the Coalition for Green Capital, where he was Director of Policy, in December 2022 to become EPA's Director of its new "Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund".   In April of 2024, Wise announced that the EPA Greenhouse Gas Reduction fund that he headed was awarding a $5 Billion grant of US taxpayer money to his former employer.  Nothing in the EPA file indicates he recused himself from that self-serving decision.  Wise has since gone to work of a Soros organization.

Another of those "gold bricks tossed from the Titanic" ended up in the hands of major Democrat operative, election denier, and self-proclaimed Governor of Georgia Stacey Abrams, who seems to be a perenial candidate for Georgia governor.  A fledgling NGO organized a few months earlier by Abrams called Power Forward Communities received a $2 Billion grant from the "Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund" headed by Wise.  Abrams had no prior known connection to environmental programs.

New EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin said that these revelations from DOGE are "extremely concerning".  This is Democrat grift at it worst, and is the very reason Democrats are so paniced to try to stop DOGE uncovering these things.  DOJ is already focusing a criminal investigation on this EPA grift.
