    Mrs. Madlyn Edwards Perry, age 84, a resident of Chocowinity, NC died Monday February 17, 2025, at her home.

    The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Saturday February 22, 2025, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Following the visitation, a procession will be held to Pamlico Memorial Gardens for a graveside service that will be officiated by Bobby Owens. The pallbearers will be Owen Perry, Warren Morrisette III, James Baker, Henry Harding, Clint Cayton, and John Edwards.

    Mrs. Perry was born in Beaufort County on May 31, 1940, daughter of the late John Robert Edwards, Sr. and the late Mimcie Mills Perry. She was a graduate of Chocowinity High School. On August 11, 1962, she married Bobby E. Perry. She later continued her education at Beaufort County Community College where she studied Licensed Practical Nursing and studied at Dale School of Technology in Asheville. Once she received her degree, she worked at Dr's. Rodman, Partrick & Stephenson. She completed her nursing career at Beaufort County Home. Mrs. Perry's love for sewing prompted her and her husband to open Personal Touch Fabrics in the Washington Square Mall. She enjoyed cross stitching and feeding wild birds. Mrs. Perry was a faithful member of Memorial Free Will Baptist Church in Chocowinity.

    Surviving along with her husband Bobby of the home are her children: Lori Rogers and her husband Doug of Grantville, GA, Bobby Perry, Jr. and his wife Jenny of Chocowinity, and Sandra Brabble and her husband Henry of Chocowinity; a sister: Jane Carolyn Worsley of Washington; grandchildren: Holly Perry Buck and her husband Chandler, Emily Perry, Owen Perry, Matthew Brabble and his wife Kelly, Warren Morrisette III, Elizabeth Leyva and her husband Daniel, Brianna Brabble, Liz Strickland and her husband Adam, Michael Rogers and his wife Megan; great grandchildren: Parker Buck, Darcy Leyva, Leah Leyva, Logan Strickland, Lillian Bryce Strickland, Jack Rogers, Hunter Rogers and cousin J.C. Potter and his wife Nikki of Rocksprings, WY. Mrs. Perry was predeceased, along with her parents, by a brother: John Robert Edwards, Jr. and a sister: Celia Harding.

    Flowers are welcome and appreciated, and the family kindly asks that any memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer's Association, Eastern NC Chapter, 5171 Glenwood Ave, Suite 101, Raleigh, NC 27612.
