    Katherine "Kat" Ann Sherrill of Denver, NC went to be with her Savior on March 7, 2025. She was the daughter of the late John "Skip / Big Daddy" and Ann Crawford Sherrill of Denver, NC. Kat was born in Asheville, NC and graduated from East Mecklenburg High School in 1976. Thereafter she attended Western Carolina University and later attended Queen's College. She worked for Vanguard for many years. Kat was a member of Southlake Presbyterian Church in Huntersville, NC. She loved her church and loved the Lord. Her passion for knowing scripture was unbelievable. She loved listening to music and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends.

    Kat is survived by her loving son, Joshua Haigler and wife, Sarah of Bournville, Birmingham, England and her brother John "Skipper" Sherrill and wife, Candy of Chocowinity, NC. She had two grandchildren, Charlotte "Lottie" and Daniel Haigler. She had two nieces, Kelsey S. White and husband, Zack, and Melissa S. Davis and husband, Mitch. She is also survived by her special uncle, Charles Crawford and his wife, Geraldine, along with her many cousins.

    The family is grateful to Kat's friends: Peggy Martin, Judy Boozer, Judy Gais, and Diane Hickey, whom have been by her side for many years. Kat's family and friends are greatly appreciative of the care she received from the health care teams at ECU Beaufort Hospital and Ridgewood Health Center in Washington, NC.

    A service will be held on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Southlake Presbyterian Church.

    A gathering of family and friends will be held in the church fellowship hall immediately after the service.
