HUD Secretary warns HUD grantees not to use federal $$ to house illegal aliens | Eastern NC Now

part of Trump effort to cut off federal tax dollars to illegal aliens

ENCNow

US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary  Scott Turner has sent a letter to all HUD grantees that they are not allowed to use any federal funds to house or care for illegal alien migrants.  He pointed out that HUD's mission is "to serve some of America's most vulnerable citizens . . . not illegal aliens."

"I want to make it crystal clear -  no taxpayers dollars will be given to any organizations that support, house, shelter, or provide care to illegal aliens.," Turner told HUD grantees.

Meanwhile one of the most active groups in trying to bring migrants into the US, Catholic Relief Services, run by the US Conference of Catholic Bishops, has announced it is largely closing up shop  after its billions from USAID was cut off.  The organization unsuccessfully tried to sue to keep their money flowing but came up against an honest judge who did not let them play the political games they were trying to play.

It is an insult to down and out Americans to use any public money to put illegal aliens up in hotels, especially luxury hotels. Legal immigrants have to have a sponsor to cover any initial housing and support expenses, so why should people who should not even be here get all these perks? It is an insult to legal immigrants as well as to citizens. Trump is doing a good job cutting off these parasites.
