Denese Everson Mitchell | Eastern North Carolina Now

    Denese Everson Mitchell, age 57, a resident of Chocowinity, died Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at ECU Health Beaufort Hospital.

    A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Oakdale Cemetery, with Rev. Kevin Whaley officiating.

    The family will receive friends at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.

    Denese was born on June 1, 1967, in Beaufort County, to Linda F. Banks and the late Robert Earl "Bobby Doc" Everson. She was a 1985 graduate of Bath High School. Denese worked in the retail industry in sales. She loved flowers, gardening, and pets.

    Survivors include her husband, Allen Wayne Mitchell of the home, her children, Megan Midgette of Swan Quarter and Emily Midgette of Virginia, sisters, Anessia Hammonds (Mike) of Chocowinity and Amy Goff (John) of Washington, two grandchildren, Madalyn Midyette and Cohen Silver and several nieces and nephews.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Denese Everson Mitchell Memorial Fund, PO Box 1465, Washington, NC 27889.
